The latest exhibition in the Via Cattedrale space brings together the sculptural works of seven artists in a selection of castings that symbolically relate to Vulcan, god of metallurgy and fire. Vulcan's power is to transform matter, infusing it with life and power. The Sacred Fire, guarded by Vulcan and stolen by Prometheus to be given to humanity, here becomes a metaphor for creative capacity: a spark that allows art to shape reality and transfigure it
The works by Pablo Rezzonico Bongcam, Kaspar Ludwig, Lisa Lurati, Sara Masüger and Loris Mauerhofer establish a dialogue about the human condition.
Mauerhofer focuses on the human figure, exploring it through raw aesthetics and deep bodily introspection.
